The Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIoTA) is the foremost professional body dedicated to advancing the practice and standards of transportation and logistics in Nigeria. Established by an Act of Parliament, CIoTA serves as the statutory institution responsible for the training, certification, and regulation of transport professionals across all modes of transportation—road, rail, air, maritime, and pipeline.

With a vision to professionalize the transport sector, CIoTA plays a pivotal role in shaping national policies, promoting best practices, and building human capacity for efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation systems. The Institute brings together industry leaders, practitioners, government stakeholders, and academics to address the challenges of modern transportation and to harness its potential for economic growth and national development.
